Description:
An epiphytic plant which holds to the support with its fibrous roots. It needs to be watered in the central vase-like formation between the crown. The leaf base has spongy cells which are capable of absorbing water. If grown in pots, they do not need soil; but need coarse planting medium like brickbats & charcoal.They can be mounted even on tree trunks or on dead wood with the help of sphagnum moss.  The plant flowers only once in its lifetime. But before it dies, it gives rise to many more suckers.
